Renovatio River Estate is a private wedding and event venue located on the gentle Suikerbos River in Gauteng located a short distance from Three Rivers, Vereeniging, Meyerton & the Vaal Dam and only 45 minutes from Johannesburg.

Our exclusive 15 hectare wedding and event venue is surrounded by lush green grass, shaded by tall Blue Gum trees and offers the same tranquility of our slow running fountain while set in the surrounds of a typical South African countryside.

Renovatio’s history & heritage dates back to the 1800’s and is home to the original sandstone Uitvlugt farmhouse built over 100 years ago in 1883 (around the same time when Vereeniging was newly established as a mining town). Having being restored to its former glory, the Farmhouse, Chapel and parts of the Renovatio Banqueting Hall features the original sandstone structures as they were built in 1883 – hence the name RENOVATIO, a classical Latin word for renew, revive or restore.

Established in 2009 as an Event and Wedding Venue, Renovatio River Estate is run and owned by Michele and Willie van Rensburg who are not only musicians but they both have music and event management experience. Michele has years of conferencing and event planning experience from her corporate days as a Digital Marketing Specialist, Business Development Manager and General Manager in various industries. Today she is a certified Wedding Floristry & Wedding Floral Stylist providing wedding styling, wedding & event planning guidance.
